What Servixo collects, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated
Draft, pending legal review. This describes how the platform is designed to work. It has not yet been drafted or approved by a qualified adviser and is not a legal instrument. The final version will be published here before launch.
What we collect
We collect what is needed to arrange a service and nothing that is merely interesting. That falls into three groups.
- Customer details: name, mobile number, email address, service address and PIN code.
- Booking details: the service requested, the slot chosen, and what was done on the visit.
- Service Provider details: identity and address documents, trade qualifications and certificates, and the areas covered.
Why we collect it
Customer and booking details are used to assign a professional, get them to the right address at the right time, take payment and handle any follow-up.
Service Provider verification documents are used to confirm identity, address and trade qualification before a provider is approved. They are reviewed by our verification team and are never shown to customers.
What customers can see about a provider
A Service Provider's public profile shows their name, photograph, services, experience, qualifications, service areas, ratings and verification status. Identity documents, document numbers and address proofs are never published, shown to customers, or included in any listing.
Payments
Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway. Card and bank details are entered with that provider and are not stored by Servixo.
Sharing
We share a customer's name, address and contact number with the assigned Service Provider, because they cannot carry out the work otherwise. We share provider details with customers only to the extent described above.
We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Requests go to the contact address on this site and we will respond within a reasonable period.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as they are needed to run the service and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Service Provider verification documents are kept for as long as the provider is approved, and for a limited period afterwards so that a completed job can still be accounted for.
An account you ask us to close is deactivated immediately. The records behind completed bookings are not deleted where we are required to retain them, and the retention periods will be set out here in full before launch.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping you signed in, remembering a booking in progress. Anything beyond that, including analytics, is opt-in and will be described here with the specific providers named before it is switched on.
Grievance redressal
If you are not satisfied with how your personal data has been handled, you can escalate it to our Grievance Officer, whose name and contact details will be published here before launch as required under Indian law. We will acknowledge a complaint and tell you what we intend to do about it.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about data we hold, should go to the email address on our contact page.
